A nice Colorado Merriam gobbler that I took in 2001. Called him in at flydown from about 300 yards away with only 3 yelps. Was working another big gobbler that was only about 75 yards away but this one beat him to me. Used a "Virgin Hen" in walnut and poplar. This gobbler we called in from over a half mile away. He would only respond to a really high frequency call. Would not respond to any other call. Used a higher frequency "Virgin Hen".

Vance and his 10 year old grandson Corey Dewey with his first gobbler called in at flydown. He took him with a 410 guage at about 8 steps. Used a "Virgin Hen". I don't know which one was the happiest. Peyton's girlfriend and her second Colorado Merriam gobbler called up with a red oak "Mother Clucker" and a "Virgin Hen" call. We called up 4 jakes three different times, back to back, just before the long beard decided to come in.

Tara Griffis and her first Colorado Merriam gobbler. She was sitting and yelping randomly and all of a sudden 6 gobblers came running down the fence towards her. That big grin on her face tells it all. Her first attemp at calling turkey ever. She used a hemloch/walnut "Virgin Hen" with a cedar paddle. Jim Loyless and his grand slam in 2000. Jim is quite a turkey hunter. He has the largest collection of turkey beards that I have ever seen. Congratulations Jim on a job well done. (Now how about that world slam, huh?)

Millenium gobbler. Do not yelp on a call if you don't want to have to shoot a gobbler.I yelped on mine one day and didn't have my gun and I still have scratch marks on my back where he was stomping. I'm glad nobody saw that!!! Jim Loyless and his Eastern wild turkey taken in north Louisiana in the first week of the season. This makes his second Grand Slam with the gobblers all taken in the same year. Jim took this one with a "Call Girl". He roosted this gobbler the evening before and returned the next morning to call up two hens that was roosted with the tom and , as usual, right behind the hens was the old big boy, strutting and drumming.
